Setting Goals

POSTED BY: Alex Isaly in BLOG

I received this question from one of my followers and I thought I should share it with you all. Making goals is very important and acts as a great guiding tool for moving forward with your workout program. It may feel a bit overwhelming at first to jump into a program, but setting goals is a great start...

Q: What should I consider when setting long term fitness goals?

A: Time! Time is the biggest factor to consider when deciding fitness goals. The goals need to be realistic and attainable within the time frame that you want to accomplish the goal. Time can be defined two ways: 1. How far out from the beginning of the program to the end (days, weeks, months)?; and 2) What's the time commitment you can commit to each week (1-3 hours, 3-5 hours, etc). One is dependent on the other. Determining how much time you can commit to on a weekly basis will determine how much time you will need to accomplish their goal.
