It’s that time of the year again…5 weeks of total indulgence consumed by holiday parties, holiday sweets, and holiday ‘excuses’. Let’s faced it, most of us, including myself, tend to go a little overboard and fall off plan with great intentions of taking off the extra lbs the first of the year.
For most people it’s a typical cycle going in to the holidays. It goes something like this…
- They go into the holiday’s not at their goal weight, carrying around some extra pounds from the summer ending and kids going back to school.
- Holiday season comes and so does an extra 6-8 lbs.
- New Year’s resolutions are made (which is usually the goal weight pre-holiday season) and the program kicks in to full effect the first week of January.
- The extra pounds from the holiday’s are lost by mid- to end- February, but still not at goal weight.
- Frustration kicks in, motivation is lost and we go back to old habits.
Happens every year. We’ve all been there…
Over the next few weeks I will be posting more information on how to start off the New Year’s resolutions of losing weight and getting in to shape and staying there.
